নরসিংদী রায়পুরা উপজেলায় ভুয়া পুলিশ সেজে গ্রামীন ফোনের বিক্রয়কর্মীকে অপহরণের ঘটনায় কবির হোসেন (২৪) নামে এক ব্যক্তিকে আটক ও অপহৃত মাসুদ মিয়াকে উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ।
শনিবার (৭ মার্চ) কিশোরগঞ্জ জেলার কুলিয়ারচর থেকে তাদের উদ্ধার করা হয়। আটককৃত কবির বেলাব উপজেলার চর আমলাব মহল্লার মৃত কাজল মিয়ার ছেলে। গ্রামীন ফোনের কর্মীর মুক্তির জন্যে ১০ লক্ষ টাকা মুক্তিপণ দাবী করে অপহরণ কারীরা।
মামলার তদন্ত কর্মকর্তা রায়পুরা থানার উপ-পরিদর্শক তারক শীল এই তথ্য নিশ্চিত করে জানায়, গত বৃহস্পতিবার (৫ মার্চ) রায়পুরা উপজেলার হাটুভাঙ্গা এলাকা থেকে পুলিশ পরিচয়ে মাসুদ মিয়াকে অপহরণ করা হয়। এসময় তার কাছ থেকে নগদ ৯০ হাজার টাকা লুট এবং পরবর্তীতে মুক্তির জন্য ১০ লক্ষ টাকা দাবী করে অপহরণকারীরা। এ ঘটনায় শনিবার ৭ মার্চ গ্রামীণ ফোনের ডিস্ট্রিবিউটর দেলোয়ার হোসেন বাদী হয়ে রায়পুরা মডেল থানার একটি অপহরণ মামলা দায়ের করেন।
তিনি আরো জানায়, অভিযোগের পর পুলিশ তথ্যপ্রযুক্তির সহায়তায় অভিযান শুরু করে। পরে কিশোরগঞ্জের কুলিয়ারচর থেকে মাসুদ মিয়াকে উদ্ধার করা হয়। এবং ভুয়া পুলিশ কবির হোসেনকে আটক করা হয়। এসময় অপহরণ কাজে ব্যবহৃত একটি মাইক্রোবাস, একটি খেলনা পিস্তল, নকল হ্যান্ডকাফ ও নগদ ৬০ হাজার টাকা উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ। এ ঘটনার সাথে জড়িত অন্য দের ধরতে অভিযান চলছে বলে জানিয়েছে। এবং ভুয়া অপহরণকারী দলের সদস্য কবির হোসেন শনিবার বিকেলে নরসিংদীর সিনিয়র জুডিশিয়াল ম্যাজিষ্ট্রেট মাইন উদ্দিন কাদিরের আদালতে ১৬৪ ধারায় স্বীকারোক্তিমূলক জবানবন্দি দিয়েছে।
