১১ই এপ্রিল ২০১৯ইং ভেড়ামারা উপজেলার পল্লী বিদ্যুত অফিসে দুদকের অভিযান পরিচালিত হয়। অভিযান চলাকালীন সময়ে গ্রেফতারকৃত দালালকে নতুন মিটার সংযোগ এর দালালির দায়ে হাতে নাতে আটক করেন দুদক টিম।
আভিয়ান আরো কিছু দালাল পালিয়ে যেতে সক্ষম হয়।
উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার, ভেড়ামারার নেতৃত্বে পরিচালিত ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতে দালাল শাহাজুল ইসলাম(৫২), পিতা-মৃত রমজান আলী,চন্ডিপুর কে ০২ (দুই) মাসের বিনাশ্রম কারাদণ্ড প্রদান করা হয়।
এতে নাম প্রকাশে অনিচ্ছুক একাধিক কর্মচারী বলেন এই দালালদের কারনে রিতীমত নিরাপত্তাহীনতায় ভুগছিলাম। অফিসে দালাল না থাকলে আমরাও কাজ করে শান্তি পাই।
এ বিষয়ে কুষ্টিয়া পল্লী বিদ্যুৎ মহাব্যবস্থাপকের সাথে কথা হলে তিনি ঘটনার সত্যতা স্বীীকার করে জাাাা নাননন জন দালাল আটক করা হয়েছে, তাকেে ভ্রাম্যমান াাালেরত মাধ্যমে দুুুই মাসেের কাারাদণ্ড হয়েছেে।
